13thfallenangelmy dad ought to write a memoirs me thinks....
during CNY eve dinner, he recounted an embarrassing moment back in the 1970's when he was at the Mamut Mines with a whole bunch of Japanese scientists n geologists n what not.
He was staying with most of the Japanese so he got to have his first taste of miso soup! yay! but I digress.
come bath time, he walked into the bathroom filled with naked Japanese men and promptly walked out and hurried off to the Malaysian bathrooms.....lol!
for anyone who don't get it, there was a culture clash. even in communal bathrooms, Malaysians habitually wear a sarong at least or underwear and very very very very rarely go naked amongst other people. Japanese people however have no problems with being nude during communal bathing.
all I did was laugh at my dad while hoping I don't choke on a rice grain again.
