Piscean feet.
Mar. 8th, 2007 12:59 amThe fourth toe on my right foot has lost a large amount of sensation. I can still feel pressure but it feels like it's now permanently on Pins and Needles mode...right before the bloodflow surges back in.
This is what I get when I have to wear heels to work. I tried buying a new pair of heels with a lower heel height, but when I get back home and compare it with my original shoes, it turns out to be the same bloody height! Argh!
My feet hate me right now. I go home with my feet red and slightly swollen from all the standing around and running around in 1 and half inch heels. Geezus, and I thought my 3 inch boots were bad! But then again, 8 hours worth of activity....minus around 45 minutes of lunch and minor computer system training....
I told dad but we both agreed we wouldn't tell mother dear that I am also learning the basics of waitressing other than housekeeping, checking in guests, dealing with VIP guests and pressing and shoe shine and F&B aka food and beverage. Well, mainly just to take orders, handle a heavy tray (ow my arm...haven't broken anything yet...they're all waiting for me to break something because apparently, they all have at some point...some sort of experience initiation thing...XP I'm sincerely hoping to master this skill with breaking anything), set the tables, bring out the food, making small talk with the guests, pouring wine the correct way...et cetera, et cetera.
I think I am getting paid much more than a waitress in a normal restaurant would, unless they get tips...I WANT TIPS! I just have to be better at my job. XD
Just wish my feet would stop distracting me by 4.30!
