I'm just generally pissed off and cranky today; and no, hormones has nothing to do with it.

Today, the entire telcommunications department aka the Operators are going to get screwed over because of the manager put in charge of us.

We always have problems with tour group wake up calls because of irresponsible, careless, apathetic tour guides, picky fussy guests who moved rooms, guest who moved rooms because they have to or guests not in the rooms listed on the tour guide's rooming list; so we constantly have to double check or check with reception or call up the tour guide as I once did.

Screw ups still happen anyways, and this particular tour guide blew a fuse and wanted to complain to the Resident Manager because 2 rooms got missed due to a rooming list discrepancy (they weren't even checking out that day).

So our manager aka W, had to placate the guest by buying her a shirt from the souvenir shop. W claims that she used her employee card to swipe for a RM200 shirt. Next thing we knew, the shop otherwise known as NBT calls up to double check on when W is going to pay up, if not they're going to send the bill to the Group General Manager and the Resident Manager hereforth known as GGM and RM. Apparently, W did NOT swipe. She had later tried to get the EAM to sign for it but he refused.

And apparently, the bill has already been sent to the big bosses. Today. Quite likely, the Operator department is going to get screwed over again and every single one of us is going to get our pay docked according to W. Which sucks because only 2 operators handled the group wake up calls for that night and morning.

The best part is when W just strolls into our office and casually asks,"So, when are you guys going to belanja makan (spend, or buy lunch or food) at Gayang?" (which is a good seafood restaurant but pretty far)

Needless to say, everyone was pretty incredulous and did not bother to reply. You just fucked us over by complaining to the big bosses about the wake up call error when it could have been solved with one discussion, and now you want us to buy you a seafood lunch?!

We kinda knew W was immature and a bit nuts, but this.....this takes all the shit layered cake......

We get enough flack from these tour guides, the ones from Taikar are particularly bad, rude and arrogant. It's pretty well known one of the seniors had argued with one of the guides before when he rudely dismissed her when she started to repeat back the room numbers. I mean, when you rattle off the room numbers for about maybe, 10 rooms, that's about 40 numbers and you can get mixed up and when you're doing this over the phone without a rooming list...gahh....he also dismissed her when she asked for his contact number in case something came up. Morons, much?

And it's been an insane day, what with the Fidelio system down and failed call postings started lumping up; guess whose task is it today to check on the failed call postings? I didn't mind running back and forth between computers and the xerox machine and reception but my station's computer has pretty much committed suicide and needs a new harddrive and it was an insanely busy day....urgh.....stress much?
