bleh...trying to get my brain working
Apr. 2nd, 2005 02:29 amMike sighed, running a small but slender hand through her silver and blood red streaked dark hair.Mahogany eyes darted, taking in her surroundings and memorizing every detail. The 17 year old nervously nibbled delicately on a thumbnail even as her insides roiled and twitched. 'Something's not right. Out of place. Something will happen. Gods, I hate it when this kind of things happen!' she mentally grumbled, knowing very well the capabilities of her very minute level of foresight.
She strode away from the whirling sign of the barbershop, heading down the street towards where her instincts were leading her. Stuffing her hands into the pockets of her trenchcoat to stop herself from totally ruining her nails, she turned around a corner and immediately had to skip backwards on light feet even as the man she nearly ran into took a step back in order to prevent collision. Mike's eyes widen in shock and recognition. "Keith?" she whispered in disbelief. Electric blue eyes widened in astonishment before the man grabbed her arm and dragged her into the nearest coffeeshop.
After plunking themselves into some seats, Keith turned towards Mike. "How'd you know my real name?" he asked, looking both suspicious and hopeful. Dark eyes widened in horror and realization. "Oh crap. You don't remember me? Do you have amnesia or something?" Mike groan in dismay at the state her childhood friend's memory was in. Keith gave a half hearted sheepish grin and a nod. "Pretty much." he replied. Mike studied the man before her when she realized that he gave her an odd but familiar feeling. With unfocused eyes, she scanned his body before pinning him with a sharp look. "Vampyr." she uttered to Keith's horror.
